Last Stop SEOUL

I arrived home one week ago and the Big Adventure is rapidly fading into history. It would not be fair however to leave my last stop, Seoul, out of the photo lineup—since it is truly an inviting city.

Seoul was unfortunately a 24-hour stopover and I probably wouldn’t have made good use of any more days even if I had stayed longer—it was time to come home.

However if/when I’m out Asia way again I will definitely try to design a route that includes Seoul. It seemed a lovely place to sightsee, shop or simply hang out.

  1. Welcome back Marj!: nice pictures of Seoul where I am going to be back early October during a week for PAMS 2015…For now in Palma de Mallorca as a guest of Firab!, the 2nd edition of performing arts from the Balearic Islands with dance, tortillas, sobrassada appetizers, ensaimada pastries, pacheran liquor, a lot of sun and Palma’s famous gothic cathedral: a treat even with so many German and British tourists!

    • Bernard, thanks for commenting. And you have stumped me. I don’t know exactly where you are so must go to Google and Atlas to pinpoint your location…that usually doesn’t happen! Where if sounds quite adventuresome in the food arena in any case. Maybe dance too?

      • Marj, I am in Palma de Mallorca. one of the Balearic islands and about a 40 mns flight off the coast of Barcelona, having just attended FIRAB!, a 4-day performing arts platform promoting dance. theater, puppetry, music from all the Balearic islands….Some good dance by Mariantonia Oliver and French based Theatre du Mouvement which collaborated with 3 based male dancers from Palma on a work combining dance, spoken word, acrobatics, etc….Back to NYC tomorrow and getting ready to welcome Compagnie Herve KOUBI (www.cie-koubi.com) with 12 fabulous male dancers from Algeria, making their US debut on October 2nd and 3rd as part of New York City’s City Center Theater renown Fall For Dance festival!

      • Bernard, your comments are almost the only contacts that make me feel like I want to be a little more in touch with dance again. But then that makes sense since you are hugely responsible for me becoming so involved in the first place!

      • Thanks Marj for your feedback but dance would haven’t made it in the South West without you!!!

  2. Thanks so much for the photos. The architecture is very interesting old/new side by side. This has been such an interesting trip, thanks for taking me along. How will “Misty” compete with this?
